Good job! I don't know why it's so hard to get published in the Christian realm. I have a critique buddy who lives in New Zealand. She's won a few big contests with her story, but she's been stuck getting it published.
I don't have any firsthand knowledge of "mainstream" Christian publishing, but based on the books that I always saw on shelves in Christian stores as a kid, I think it really comes down to their core audience. They catered to a certain subset of - let's be honest - women who only want Amish or Hallmark style romance. Anything different would take them out of their comfort zone, so they wouldn't trust it or but it. Essentially, there would be no profit. That's my opinion anyway.
I can't imagine how boring an Amish romance must be! I'm pretty convinced that Tolkien and CS Lewis would never have been published by modern Christian publishing houses. I remember reading an interview with Stephen Lawhead where he talked about leaving his Christian publisher for a secular one because they wouldn't let his character say "damn." and I guess that was the last straw for him.
Great interview. Hopefully continues to grow, I keep recommending it.
I appreciate that very much!

Wonderful, Deep Interview!
Well done
Thanks, Tim! I appreciate that!
Good stuff!
The man knows how to write! Doesn’t matter if it’s fiction or interview answers!
Very true! I’ve appreciated his work and it’s certainly kicked me in the butt to pick up my pencil and start writing myself.
An aspect of Masters 🤣🤣 explains all the kids 😂
Awesome interview and write up
Wow! You just had to take it there, sir 😂
If I’m not taking it too far is it really even worth saying?
Now, when did I ever say you took it "too far"? 🤣
AWESOME! Excellent interview! Looking forward to more!
I plan to do more!
And thank you!
Looking forward to them
